You may have read our recent article on how Donald Trump may run for president this next election, well now Mr. Trump has put his chips on Mitt Romney offering him quite a lot of campaign support, but is it going to help or hurt Romney’s chances for the win?

Mitt Romney has already taken Florida by storm with a double-digit victory and if he wins Nevada he’ll be the first Republican nominee to win back-to-back states.  Will it happen with Donald Trump on his side?

Donald Trump | The Risk Endorsement

Many people in Florida take Donald Trump for a joke especially after planning to build ultra-luxurious condominiums in Tampa that eventually went under, losing many investors millions of dollars.  Also Donald Trump said that he too would run for president, but he’d just have to wait until his show was over, this is Outcome Magazine’s report on Donald Trump‘s run:

And, he noted, a poll about a month ago indicated “I was the No. 1 independent choice.”

Trump can’t jump into the race now because of his realty TV show, “The Celebrity Apprentice,” which premieres Feb. 19.

“But if I don’t see a person … is going to win, that is tantamount, I would certainly think about doing it after the show ends,” Trump said.

Already many reports are being released by major newspapers that Romney is really not in touch with the middle-class, and this support from mega-millionaire Donald Trump doesn’t do much to clear up that perception.

So just why does Donald Trump support Mitt Romney’s campaign?

“Mitt is tough, he’s smart, he’s sharp, he’s not going to allow bad things to continue to happen to this country that we all love.” Trump said during his endorsement. “So Governor Romney, go out and get ‘em. You can do it.”

Mitt Romney made headlines earlier this week by saying that he isn’t concerned with the very poor.  Now although that quote was taken out of context, his competitor Newt Gingrich has really been using that little tidbit to slam Romney every chance he gets and Donald Trump’s support doesn’t really help his case.

Donald Trump | Newt Gingrich’s Case

The Wall Street Journal recently reported on Newt Gingrich’s recent Nevada speech in which he slams the policies of both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama:

“Let me say first of all that I like hiring people,” he said, in a dig at the former Massachusetts governor. Romney made headlines last month for saying he liked “firing people” when talking about health-care companies that fail to provide good service.

Gingrich continued to mock the GOP front-runner for saying Wednesday that he is not concerned about the very poor because they’re protected by social safety net programs.

“Mitt Romney and Barack Obama seem to believe that a safety net is all the poor need. What the poor need is a trampoline so they can spring up.”

So Gingrich says that according to the polls done by his administration, he and Romney are currently tied in Nevada.  Well the Examiner has a different report:

  • Romney, 45 percent
  • Gingrich, 25 percent
  • Santorum, 11 percent
  • Paul, 9 percent

So readers, what do you think?  Will Romney take the Nevada win, despite his recent support from Donald Trump, or will Gingrich win this one?
